In partnership with ZGF Architects, Anderson Mason Dale Architects has worked closely with the University of Colorado Denver’s Anschutz Medical Campus staff and stakeholders towards the realization of the Anschutz Health Sciences Building, a transformative campus building that will further the campus’s trajectory ’s as one of the leading medical care, translational research, and educational facilities in the world. Currently under construction, the building will provide a state-of-the-art home for the delivery of genomics-driven translational research, education, and personalized clinical care.
Recently featured in Engineering News-Record’s Mountain States online news forum, the following article highlights the collaborative design and engineering process that led to the building’s expressive, innovative form. Canted columns help blur the indoor/outdoor entry experience at the building’s base, while a sophisticated unitized curtain wall system modulates and optimizes interior daylighting.
