In 1995 the voters of booming Douglas County approved a bond issue to finance a new facility to consolidate various county departments and agencies.

The building consists of two basic elements – the County Commissioner’s Hearing Room, and an attached 4-story office facility.

Departments housed in the facility include Personnel, Accounting, Treasury, Planning, Engineering, Information Systems and Building, as well as the County Commissioners, County Manager and Count Attorney’s offices. The Facility is zoned to provide public access to the County Commissioners Hearing Room during non-business hours without need to enter the office areas.

Expansion to 77,000 square feet can be accommodated to serve needs up to the year 2025.
