The Police Headquarters is the catalyst project in a revitalization of the west 10th Street corridor in Greeley, Colorado. It also establishes a new context for future development on the blighted west 10th Street commercial corridor.

The project houses the full police department (public services, investigations, police administration) in a ‘primary’ building, and supports functions and police storage in a ‘secondary’ building.

The facility provides a clear public face for the police department, creating a legible, accessible front door and public lobby. The materials and form of the project are very civic in nature. The red brick, stone and building massing reflect the permanence and durability of civic institutions, specifically the police department.
