The Classroom and Office building for the Timberline Campus is a multipurpose facility situated on a plateau overlooking Leadville, Colorado. The building is sited to take advantage of the incredible views of Colorado’s two tallest peaks as well as picture-post card views of scenic Leadville.

The design objectives related to the massing and character of the building is twofold; first, the building by its use of color and material ties the existing campus buildings into a unified whole; secondly, the building’s massing and architectural vocabulary speak to the historical importance of Leadville and its mining traditions.

The program consists of classroom spaces, labs, art studios, greenhouse and general office space. Most notable among the diverse program elements are two Interactive Video Studios.

As a result of having several remote campuses the College is programmed to accommodate the latest in educational delivery systems requiring advanced technologies.
