Boise State University | Keiser and Taylor Residence Halls

  • $14M
  • 112,000 GSF
  • 2004
  • in association

These residence halls at Boise State University create a living and learning community for freshman and sophomore students who desire greater privacy than provided in traditional dormitories.

The halls include 4 and 8 student suites with single bedrooms and with shared bathrooms. A small percentage of the rooms are double occupancy. Kitchen facilities are not provided within the individual suites but shared throughout the halls. Floor lounges and an outdoor deck overlooking the new quadrangle provide social gathering spaces for students away from their suites.

To build rapport between students, teachers and administrators, academic components are included in the project. Seminar rooms and faculty offices provide a house for academic pursuits including meetings and after-hour study functions.
